The Department of Political Science is established in 1971. The department imparts education in Political Science under graduate and post graduate level. At the beginning of the Dept. of political science and the Dept. of Public Administration were a joint department later they were divided. The Department has Legacy of Pedant like Dr. S.K. Bhogle, Dr. R.S Ekhelikar and Dr. K.Y. Daud, who gave enrichment and fervour to this department. Dr. S.K. Bhogle was head of the department from July 1972 to Feb 2003.
