The Department of Music is the only Department in the College which imparts education and training in performing arts. It is the largest Department from the University in terms of number of students admitted. As we cater to large number of students, there are some distinct measures which are being undertaken for them. For instance, the newly admitted students are being trained by the prominent alumni of our Department and even by professionals from the field of music. Apart from this training, we organize guest lecture of professionals and of reputed teachers in the subject. Being one of the key departments, the Department of Music has always been focusing on the betterment of students. It is reflected in the student-centric policies adopted by us. There are maximum numbers of visually challenged students who are being groomed here. For the sound understanding of vocal skills, these students are provided different recordings at their home.
