Placement Cell
The Placement Cell of Vivekanand College has had another fruitful year of placements in the academic year 2018-19 which saw various companies approach us in their hunt for fresh talent for their organizations. Each year, we invite and host companies on campus to hold recruitments for our students, and in spite of the job market looking bleak this time round, we saw many leading corporate recruit a considerable number of students from our campus.
The Placement Cell is headed by our Principal, Prof. Shyam Shirsat and Director Dr. Ashok Gaikwad. All the activities of the Placement Cell are led by Training and Placement officer Mr. Vaibhav V Tayade. We aim to invite companies from various fields in order to make opportunities available for students of different streams of college.
Like the previous years, this year also the cell organized several workshops for students- The course on Soft skills Development and Career Building was held in collaboration with Tech Mahindra for all final year students

In Infosys recruitment drive 31 students of our college are selected for Trainee Executive with the package of 1,54,000/ annum.

On 15 February 2019 Mphasis have conducted campus recruitment drive at our college in which 37 students are selected for Trainee Transaction Processing Officer with 1,52,000 / annum salary package.
- Tata Consultancy Services
TCS Ignite is a learning program for young science graduates who are selected to be employed in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). This is an intense, six-month long learning program to help orient science graduates from different academic disciplines to the IT industry and the corporate world. 09 students have been selected in TCS Ignite through a rigorous process that assesses abilities for logical and analytical thinking, basic math, communication, comprehension, and attitude. For academic year 2018-19 there are 16 students are selected in TCS as Graduate Trainee with 1,93,158 /- annum salary package

Wipro Ltd have selected 8 students from our esteem organization as Trainee - Computer Application with salary package of 1, 80,000 /- annum with future career opportunities.

In this organization 2 students of our Institute are selected as Associate Consultant (AC 1) with 2,00,000/- annum salary package.

Chegg India Pvt. Ltd. is a 100% subsidiary of USA based Chegg Inc. Developing content as well as offering a host of educational services for our parent company. Chegg is a publicly-held company based in Santa Clara, CA with offices in San Francisco, New York, Portland, India, Israel, Berlin, and Ukraine. Cheeg have conducted digital recruitment drive at our Institute in which 33 students are selected as Subject Matter Expert with Avg. 1,,92,000/-annum salary package.

Force Motors is fully vertically integrated, making its own engines, chassis, gear boxes, axles, bodies etc. for the entire product range.Force provides appropriate solutions for transport –both goods, as well as passenger - rugged, reliable and efficient transport solutions for every need - rural or urban, long distance or local, over good roads or bad tracks. Force Motor have selected 6 students of our Management science department as Marketing Trainee with salary package of 90,000/- annum and Incentives

Orchids International School is originated in Hyderabad and now it has chain of 25 International Schools at different locations. Orchids International School have selected 6 Students from our Institute as Primary Teacher with salary package of 1,80,000/-annum for Mumbai location.
