About Department

The Department was established in 1989. The faculty of the department have done extensive research in the area of Angiosperm Taxonomy, Bio-Chemistry, Phyto-Chemistry, Ethno-Botany, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, and Pteridology. The work done by faculty and research students has immensely contributed to the knowledge of Plant Science. Three teachers from the department have served the post of Principal and contributed immensely to the growth and development of the college as well as the Department of Botany.

• Various Regional Floras and Journals.
• Well equipped Phyto-Chemistry, Taxonomy and Pathology lab for research students.
• Inventer petent on Waste Culture Media as a feed for Anaerobic Digester to generate biogas.
