LEARNING OUTCOMES

B.Sc

Students upon completion of B.Sc. program, will be able to,
  • To understand the fundamental principles of Chemistry.
  • To analyze various Organic mixture and individual compound.
  • Identify and estimate organic and inorganic compounds using classical and modern laboratory methods.
  • Develop skills in evaluation, interpretation and synthesis of chemical information and data.
  • Develop skills in the safe-handling of chemical materials, taking into account of their physical and chemical properties including any specific hazards associated with their use.
  • Gains complete knowledge about all fundamental aspects of all the elements of chemistry.
  • Appreciates the importance of various elements present in the periodic table, coordination chemistry and structure of molecules, properties of compounds, structural determination of complexes using theories and instruments.
  • The ability to perform accurate quantitative measurements with an understanding of the theory and use of contemporary chemical instrumentation, interpret experimental result. Perform calculations on these results and draw reasonable accurate conclusion.
  • The ability to synthesize, separate and characterize compounds using published reactions, protocols, standard laboratory equipment and modern instrumentation, theoretically.
  • An ability to employ critical thinking and efficient problem solving skills in three basic areas of chemistry (Inorganic, Organic and Physical).

M.Sc.

  • The ability to perform accurate quantitative measurements with an understanding of the theory and use of contemporary chemical instrumentation, interpret experimental result. Perform calculations on these results and draw reasonable accurate conclusion.
  • The ability to synthesize, separate and characterize compounds using published reactions, protocols, standard laboratory equipment and modern instrumentation.
  • Ability to employ critical thinking and efficient problem solving skills in four basic areas of chemistry (Analytical, Inorganic, Organic and Physical).
  • Collaborate effectively on team oriented project.
  • The ability to use modern instrumentation for chemical analysis and separation.
